many of the country’s most sacred sites—holy
lakes, remote monasteries, and mystical caves and
flora & fauna and isolation all lend it a unique,
almost magical atmosphere. Traditional life seems
less disturbed here than in central Tibet. It is unique
because of tradition, monastery, people and geography
itself. We will lead you to the most unique path where
you will find religious people unique tradition, historical
places and most remarkable thing is to walk arround

The Historical Dege Kingdom |
 |
Few places in the Tibetan frontier have historically been as "cosmopolitan" as the Mili region. A vortex of the frontier melting pot, Tibetans live alongside ethnic groups such as the Yi, the Naxi, the Bai, Moso, and, more recently, Han Chinese. This trip offers insight into an astonishing micro-variation of the Tibetan world. It walks the visitor through a multi-ethnic corridor, where various cultural realms have traditionally overlapped. |

Among Khampa Cowboys |
 |
Travelling overland we traverse the vibrant cultural and economic centres of Kham, separated by spectacular valleys and gorges created by Asia's mightiest rivers - the Mekong, the Salween and the Yangtze.Combining the tour with day-hikes, we camp in the vast grasslands alongside nomads and herdsmen. In the evenings, around a campfire, we listen to the tales of the Khampa cowboys. This trip captures the spirit of the Wild East. |
