Rara lake is the largest lake in the country, situated at Mugu district, Rara lake trip gives you an amazing experience about the nature, culture
and ethnic people and typical western Nepal people, villages and many more.. We will start our journey rom Jumla and being Rara and following Mugu Karnali we will enter Humla district being Chankheli pass. After entering Humla we follow Humla Karnali george and then being Nyinba valley we will catch the Crystal mountain.
Nyinba people believe as a Kailash to the Crystal Mountain as it is described mythology and by so many author. People belive that it is made by Malerepa while he was propagating budhism in the area. And also believe that the Ralling monastery is because of Guru Rimpoche (GURU Padma Sambhaba) because he meditated there for longtime.
Crystal Mountain lOcally Shelmogang can be reached through the Nyinba valley, a days walk from Simikot. Nyinba is a culturally rich valley filled with Bhotiya communities who still practice a blend of pre-Buddhist Shamanism and Tibetan Buddhism. The valley is also home to the famous Raling Gompa and Siddhi caves of Guru Rinpoche, making it a fascinating destination for those interested in meditative retreats.
For more adventurous trekkers, Mt. Shelmogang can also be walked from June-October via a pilgrimage trail leading to the top. For centuries, pilgrims have sought to accrue merit in their lives by ascending the mountain in reverence to Buddhist deities, and Shelmogang offers an amazing chance to trekkers and outsiders to participate in this ancient tradition.

Day 1 Kathmandu to Nepalganj
Day 2 Nepalgunj to Ghamgadi to Rara Lake
Day 3 Explore Rara Lake: Day 1
Day 4 Explore Rara Lake: Day 2
Day 5 Rara Lake via Gamgadhi (1700m) to Luma (8 hrs.)
Day 6 Luma village to cross Changkheli pass (7 hrs.)
Day 07 Changkheli to Rimi (7 hrs.)
Day 08 Rimi to Darma village via Piplang, (4,5 hrs.) to Sarkeghat (4,5 hrs.)
Day 09 Sarke Ghat via Ripa trek to Lali (7 hrs)
Day 10 Lali trek to Limatang (8 Hrs)
Day 11 Trek to Raling Monastery and Explore surrounding area
Day 12 At Raling and hiking around Crystal Mountain
Day 13 Back to Simikot
Day 14 Fly back to Nepalgunj then to Kathmandu
