The regulation for the restricted areas are supposed to protect the environment and culture of remote region and to provide security, both for the safety of trekkers and the protection of Nepal's northern border,
To visit restricted area required to obtain an especial permit for the particular destination and also it is quite expensive. But the places are very unique and less travelled. it can probably be announced unexplored destination in the world. These areas are restricted in Nepal.
LIST OF RESTRICTION
- Fable forbidden Kingdom of Mustang (Upper)
- Manaslu and Tibetan style villages in the remote Nupri valley.
- Limi valley and arround humla.
- Shey Gompa and Upper Dolpo Area
Restricted area terms & condition by Ministry of Tourism in Nepal.
Agent Means - "Travel / Trekking Agent" you are going to deal with.
- Only groups are allowed.
- Agent must arrange the entire trek
- Camping trek and liaison officer required
- Agent is responsible for security of groups; in the event of police assistance being required, the agent must meet their personal expenses.
- Medical care during the trek is the responsibility of the agent.
- Wood is not allowed to use as a fuel. it means you must use Kerosene and stove.
- Tins, bottles, etc may only be disposed of at designated sites.
- you may only travel on the authorized route.
- No money / gifts / charity may be distributed to local residents or students during the trip.
- Entry to certain religious / cultural sites prohibited to foreigners.
- Y ou may not perpetrate or allow any acts that destroy religion, culture, or the environment.
- All Nepali staff must be insured.
- Groups going to Lo Manthang (Upper Mustang) must submit a list of all goods and equipment carried to the Tourist Information Service, Jomsom, and take all rubbish to them for disposal on their return. Clearance will then be given, and this must be submitted to the Ministry of Tourism.
- Liaison officer must be provided with all food, lodging, and expenses, and paid per day. Tent, Sleeping bag, etc must be provided for the
duration of the trek, medical treatment provided as necessary and liaison officer must be insured.
- Permits must be obtained within 21 days of Ministry of Tourism recommendation.
