Tibet » Central Tibet » Tsurphu to Yangpachen Trek

Tsurphu to Yangpachen trek is an excellent 4 days trek for those who want to get a close contact with the nomads and get to know about theirTsurpu to Yangbachen Trek semi-nomadic lifestyle. This trek is full board camping with self sufficiency of food, shelter and fuel. The trek begins at Tsurphu along the rugged route crossing several alpine valleys before emerging into broad and windswept Yangpachen valley. The trip combines nicely alpine tundra and sweeping mountain panoramas with cultural visits to monasteries and a nunnery, nicely balances cultural and wilderness activities.

The end point of this trek, Yangpachen Monastery which is located on top of a hillock on the left side of road to Shigatse, overlooking a broad sweep of trans-Himalaya peaks. From Yangpachen Monastery, it is 15km road journey to Yangpachen, where our vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Lhasa.
