Tsurphu to Yangpachen trek is an excellent 4 days trek for those who want to get a close contact with the nomads and get to know about their
semi-nomadic lifestyle. This trek is full board camping with self sufficiency of food, shelter and fuel. The trek begins at Tsurphu along the rugged route crossing several alpine valleys before emerging into broad and windswept Yangpachen valley. The trip combines nicely alpine tundra and sweeping mountain panoramas with cultural visits to monasteries and a nunnery, nicely balances cultural and wilderness activities.
The end point of this trek, Yangpachen Monastery which is located on top of a hillock on the left side of road to Shigatse, overlooking a broad sweep of trans-Himalaya peaks. From Yangpachen Monastery, it is 15km road journey to Yangpachen, where our vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Lhasa.
Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa
Day 02-03:Two days sightseeing in Lhasa (Visit Potala Palace, Sera Monastry, Drepung Monastery, Norbulingkha, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor market.
Day 04: Drive from Lhasa to Tsurpu
Day 05: Trek begins from Tsurphu Monastery to Leten
Day 06: Trek Leten to Bartso
Day 07: Trek Bartso to Djore Ling Nunnery
Day 08: Trek Djore Ling Nunnery to Yangpachen Monastery
Day 09: Drive Yangpachen to Lhasa
Day 10: Final departure
