Tibet Family Trust (An Introduction)

Team Work

Social Work

Tibet FamilyTrust is a non profit making goverment organization to help Tibetan, children, Elder, and Tibetan Family who are in problem in exile. This is our main attempt to help Tibetan people both inside city and in the Border Land of Nepal and Tibet. I have a very good expedrience about Tibetan life in the city and in the Borderland or Himalayan range of Nepal. So this is our attempt to intract with Tibetan community and help them finacially, mentally. Recently we have focused in fund rising program for

  1. CHILD CAREChild Care
Many Tibetan children pay a high price for the chance of an education. They make the perilous and sometimes fatal journey across the Himalayas, escaping from a Tibet in which education in their own culture and language is denied them. Some never see their families again. They arrive in India or Nepal exhausted and homeless.
Sponsorship is a vital part of the help the Tibet Relief Fund can provide for Tibetans in exile. Through the generosity of our supporters, there are currently over 1,350 children, students and monks receiving sponsorship for their studies
In 2006 we expanded the sponsorship programme to include care for the elderly and sponsors are now providing grants to cover medical costs, food and residential care.
  2. ELDER CARE
Elder CareAn emerging need in Tibetan communities is for housing and care of the elders. Many elders have neither social support nor families to care for them, and the need for housing for older Tibetans where their basic needs are met is becoming increasingly urgent.

  3. MONASTERY PROTECTION
Since the Chinese invasion more than 6,000Monastery Care monasteries have been destroyed, with less than 40 standing today. Many religious artifacts and cultural icons have been looted and destroyed while most of Tibet's traditional literature has been eradicated. Chinese is taught as the first language in Tibetan schools and is required for most employment and higher education opportunities. In Lhasa, many Tibetan houses and entire neighborhoods have been demolished making way for Chinese development.

Most of monasteries are destroyed during revolution period and most of Tibetan they shettled in the Himalayan range of Nepal, India and brderland of native country. Tibetan people themseves made so many monastery in the himalayan range of Nepal and India. They restored the monastery to protect the religion but latter every monastery was damaged because most of monastery decorated by wooden craft and paintings. Thats why we are serveing unique monastery to protect buddhism and monastery itself.

Are the main focus. We are expecting foriegn support to empliment this all project.
Currently Tibet Family Trust is working under colaboration with Tibet Family Tours.
